Dr. Brian P. Tanis

Coyote Dentary Bone

I am an instructor and researcher broadly interested in mammalian evolutionary ecology. My research primarily focuses on how changes in species interactions shape large scale ecological and evolutionary processes. I typically use a combination of modern, historical, and paleontological data to better inform how populations and communities have changed over space and time.  These patterns are then applied to inform theory and enhance management practices for a rapidly changing future.

I am currently an instructor at Oregon State University-Cascades. Having completed my PhD in Zoology from Oregon State University. Prior to that I completed a Master's degree from Fort Hays State University.
